Cat waits outside the door all night: the reason melts so many hearts

Frederick (USA) - Washing your face, brushing your teeth and a bite to eat for breakfast - that's probably what many people's mornings look like. For "Crush" the cat from the USA, however, the morning routine involves something completely different - and it doesn't even revolve around the animal itself!

For mistress Heather Mees from the state of Maryland , this sight after getting up is already part of normality: when the US American comes out of her bedroom in the morning, velvet paw "Crush" is already waiting impatiently for her.

Both Heather and the cat then have the same destination: the nursery, where one-year-old Cora Camryn is still slumbering.

And the four-legged friend can hardly wait to get to his human sister, so he meows his owner's ears off and frantically pushes his way through the bedroom door.

Once there, the house cat jumps straight into Cora's crib, where he starts washing the cat. The little girl is licked according to all the rules of the cat art and gets a really funny hairstyle.

Anyone who thinks that the procedure is limited to waking her up in bed is mistaken: when Heather picks up her daughter afterwards, the pet somehow tries to get close to Cora again, even if that means acrobatically reaching out to the child from a chest of drawers.

"He always waits all night to be able to do this," writes mother Heather on Instagram, where she posted a video of the sugar-sweet morning routine.

"He loves his sister so much 🥰 but I'm not sure she'll like her hair when he's done 😂" she adds in the video description.

The clip has already been viewed more than 1.6 million times on Instagram within four days. Viewers are quite touched by so much animal care: "He thinks this is his Baby❤️", speculates one user. Another writes: "Oh Gott❤️ he's looking after him. You're lucky to have him."

While Crush insists on waking little Cora up every morning with wet kisses, the one-year-old also insists on a certain ritual. As mother and cat owner Heather capturedin another video, the little girl says goodnight to her best friend in the same way every night, lovingly snuggling up to the animal.
