Man films himself and his cat sleeping: what he then sees in the video he didn't expect
USA - He's a repeat offender: Nick Filippou (34) from the USA has been making video recordings of himself and his cat Minnie while he sleeps for years. He has installed a camera in his bedroom especially for this purpose. But what Filippou recently discovered in one of the clips was something he would never have expected. But the cat owner is not the only one touched by the special moment.

The video went viral at the beginning of May. By TikTok standards, it takes what feels like an eternity before the decisive moment can be seen.
In the two-minute video, Minnie the velvet paw repeatedly crawls on and around her owner. Sometimes the 34-year-old also reacts - whether in his sleep or still half awake? Uncertain.
Finally, the moment that the subtitle announces arrives. "I caught Minnie holding my hand while I was asleep," it says.
After one minute and 26 seconds, the cat 's sweet gesture can be seen. But was it just a coincidental touch in the end?
Filippou has a clear opinion on this.
Viral TikTok video shows touching moment with Minnie the cat

Since he shot the video, he has seen his furry friend repeating the gesture in more recent videos, the US American said in an interview with Newsweek.
The TikTok problem is, of course, just that one moment. The viral video has now reached more than 600,000 clicks.
"Minnie doesn't seem to notice the camera (...) Every night she cuddles up next to me and gets angry if I go to bed without her," her owner told the US magazine.
The bond between animal and owner is no coincidence. Filippou rescued the now thirteen-year-old cat from the animal shelter around ten years ago.
"The owner of the shelter said that Minnie would give anything to have a home of her own - and so I adopted her (...) immediately. Since then, she has been the happiest house cat and the best companion I could wish for," says the proud animal lover.
