This is proven by a video that the owner of golden retriever Daredevil published on her TikTok account a few days ago.

"So soulmate that this is my blind dog whenever he hears my voice," the young woman wrote on the clip.

And indeed, the four-legged friend's reaction speaks volumes. As soon as he hears his favorite human, his eyes start to jump back and forth, his face lights up, while his snout twists into a broad grin and he sits up straight away.

"He's my best friend. Forever," his owner has since gushed on TikTok . And you can see that, more than clearly.

What you can also see: The four-legged friend leads a truly fulfilling life. Even though hardly anyone would have thought that at the beginning.

Golden retriever should actually be euthanized

Little Daredevil was born blind and has never been able to see daylight.

This is due to a hypoplasia of his optic nerve. The four-legged friend can recognize shadows, but that's about it. And according to his vet, this will never change.

No problem for the golden retriever. The furry friend enjoys life to the full.

That's why his owner is still in shock that Daredevil was supposed to be put to sleep when he was just eight weeks old.

"We received a call from a rescue center from which we had already fostered a few dogs and immediately agreed to take him in," explained the young woman. A decision that the family has not regretted for a single second.

"He will be five years old this year and is living the happy, fulfilling life we were told he would never have."
