USA - This Golden Retriever knows exactly what it means to protect his family from the real dangers of life.

"He probably wouldn't bark at a burglar, but ..." With these words, Bear's owner recently introduced a video on her TikTok account in which you can see her beloved four-legged friend sitting restlessly in front of a window and looking out.

He seems to discover something that gets him incredibly excited. He keeps jumping up, stumbling a few steps across the room and barking loudly at the window - as if he wants to chase someone away.

But what is the self-appointed watchdog after here? It can't be too serious, after all, his mistress can't help but grin to herself.

When she finally pans the camera towards the window to show her followers the culprit, she warns them: "Just wait until you see what's upsetting him so much!"

She then filmed the street in front of the family home. So far, so unspectacular. But then suddenly something flies through the frame: a white plastic bag that is whirled through the air by the wind.

Bear can hardly believe his eyes. Meanwhile, his owner just laughs: "He always protects us."

Within a few days, the clip had already been viewed more than 200,000 times and the comments section was filled with countless laughing emojis.

Some users took the opportunity to report on their own dogs' barking habits.

One of them explained: "Mine always barks at her own poop. And I just think to myself: 'Madam, you put that there yourself!" Another user reported that his golden retriever would go crazy as soon as he saw the cow statue in his home town.
