Master throws tuft of golden retriever fur from balcony: what happens next amazes so many

Indiana (USA) - Whether TikTok or Instagram: This special moment from the US state of Indiana is enchanting millions of people on social media. The reason for this is a tuft of fur belonging to golden retriever Lando, which his master throws off the balcony - and which then almost magically finds a new use while still in flight.

Since the end of April, the corresponding video has been causing amazement among the public. In it, master Ben Shrack throws a piece of his dog 's fur, which he has previously brushed, into the depths.

Not much happens at first, except that it slowly glides down through the air like a feather. But the TikToker keeps his audience on their toes with the classic phrase "Wait and see".

Then it happens: a group of sparrows fly in. One of them grabs the tuft unerringly and flies off with it. Obviously the bird wants to isolate its nest.

This is also the opinion of many TikTok and Insta users in the comment column. But others issue a clear warning.

They write that the Golden Retriever's hair is too long. The birds, especially their young, could get tangled up in it and even die.

This was also reported this month by the Öko-Test website. It is true that many dog and cat owners mean well for the birds when they scatter the brushed-out fur in the garden. But this is precisely where the danger lies.

In addition, many dogs and cats are treated with tick repellents. Their fur is therefore often contaminated with pesticides - another deadly danger for the birds, according to the magazine.

Ben Shrack has already shown in other videos that he regularly throws his four-legged friend's fur off the balcony - and the sparrows get it every time.

So, in addition to the actual love of animals and millions of clicks on Instagram and TikTok, there is unfortunately a bland aftertaste at the end of the day. Well meant is not always well done.
