Drama on Mother's Day: Two fawns become orphans

Steinbach am Ziehberg (Austria) - On Mother's Day, fate hit two fawns in Austria particularly hard - they were suddenly orphaned.

Now the keepers of the Schabenreith animal paradise are fighting for the lives of the weak fawns.

Two helpless fawns were found badly injured at the weekend - and have been fighting for survival ever since.

As reported today, a completely exhausted goat was discovered by a hunter. It was in such a poor condition that it could only be rescued. Another female animal had previously been involved in a serious traffic accident - here too, all help came too late. It is unclear whether the two deceased animals are the mothers of the fawns.

However, the two little fawns were rescued at the very last moment: animal-loving people discovered the weakened fawns and immediately informed the Schabenreith animal sanctuary.

Their team did not hesitate for a second and immediately set off to bring the young animals to safety.

Now the keepers are fighting with all their hearts for the lives of the weak fur babies. The animals are badly affected, completely exhausted and need intensive round-the-clock care.

"Experiencing such fates on Mother's Day of all days is particularly poignant," the team at Tierparadies told the Austrian daily newspaper. "But we are doing everything in our power to give them both a future."
