Husband and roommate dispose of woman's body, then play helper!

USA - It is hard to believe what a man from the USA is accused of: He allegedly killed his wife, disposed of the body with his roommates and then participated in the search for her.

Jessica Barnes (†20) was last seen on August 1 in her home, which she shared with her husband and two roommates.

However, as the New York Post reported, the 20-year-old was not reported missing until September 10.

Her mother, who filed the report, had previously received messages from Jessica's phone number, but became increasingly skeptical and eventually believed that they were not from her daughter.

As the circumstances of her disappearance were unclear and there were only a few leads, the police launched a large-scale search operation. Her husband also helped with the search.

After about ten days, human remains were discovered in a forest near a lake, which were identified last Tuesday as those of Jessica Barnes.

Although her husband, Brandon Barnes, and roommates Kendall Mims and Victoria Tippett were initially questioned, they were not considered suspects.

In late September, after the then-unidentified body was found, the three were even seen posting missing persons notices and pleading with Jessica to return home.

An autopsy conducted by the coroner revealed that the 20-year-old had been suffocated by strangulation.

After learning of the cause of death, police arrested Brandon Barnes, Mims and Tippett and took them to the station for questioning.

Brandon Barnes confessed to the shocking crime and was charged with murder. Mims and Tippett were charged with accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice and false imprisonment. All three were denied bail.
