The little girl named Kiara Crislayne de Moura dos Santos was taken to the "Faustino Riscarolli" hospital in Correia Pinto , Brazil, on October 19, where doctors claim to have discovered that the baby was neither breathing nor had a pulse.

Shortly afterwards, the doctors declared the infant dead. Then everything happened very quickly: just two hours later, Kiara's body was picked up by a mortician who wanted to prepare everything for the funeral, which was to take place on the same day.

In the evening, the little girl's relatives came together to say goodbye to the child, who was just a few months old. But according to News.com, the unbelievable happened at the funeral service!

During the service, a relative suddenly noticed that Kiara's hand, which had been laid out in her coffin, was moving. When a family member rushedto the baby , the child grabbed his finger.

Those present acted immediately and alerted the emergency services. The child's father, Cristiano Santos, regained hope that his beloved child would survive after all.

When the emergency services arrived, they found that Kiara did indeed have a pulse. They were also unable to detect rigor mortis, which normally sets in after six to eight hours. However, the paramedics noticed that the girl had a very low oxygen saturation and quickly took her to hospital.

There, the doctors had to pronounce the child dead again - within just 24 hours. Kiara's heart had stopped beating . And the heart of her father, Cristiano Santos, broke again: "We were already devastated. Then there was a bit of hope, but then this happened," he explains to the local media.

But how could the hospital staff have made such a mistake beforehand?

The police are now investigating whether medical care was neglected. After all, the doctors had declared Kiara dead 16 hours before her funeral. A post-mortem examination should also clarify the cause of death.

For Kiara's parents, however, it is now time to say goodbye again and bury the baby.
