There has rarely been a recall like this! The soda giant Coca-Cola is initiating a public product recall in Austria after discovering that there was a mistake during production.

In an article published by Coca-Cola HBC Austria GmbH, the company warns against the consumption of Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and MezzoMix soft drinks in 0.5 liter PET bottles.

A sieve has broken in a machine during a production step and it cannot be ruled out that tiny metal particles have gotten into the bottles as a result of this breakage.

The recall only applies to products made from 0.5 liter PET bottles with a best-before date between 4 February and 12 April 2025.

Millions of bottles are affected

An incredible 26 million bottles are affected by this production error, which corresponds to the production of the last two months!

Buyers can return the soft drinks in all retail outlets in Austria, even without presenting a receipt.

In addition to private consumers, retailers and restaurants are also affected by the recall. The resale of these products is strictly prohibited.
