Guests stay away: Lonely wedding causes concern - "What have we done to them?"

St. Helens (Oregon/USA) - Kalina Mary had been looking forward to her wedding so much. It was supposed to be a lavish celebration with a masked ball and exquisite food. But then suddenly the guests didn't show up. A video of the lonely wedding touched so many.

Sad: the festively decorated hall was deserted at Kalina's wedding. Only the immediate family had come.

Kalina Mary no longer understands the world. The US American spent ten months planning her fairytale wedding. She wrote invitations, thought about the seating arrangements, chose the decorations and rented a large hall.

But it was all for nothing, Kalina has since had to admit. Of the 75 guests invited, only five came, all of whom belonged to the closest family circle.

"I dreamed that we would enter the hall and all the guests would congratulate us and be happy for us," says the sad bride.

But nothing of the sort happened. Instead, Kalina (all in white), her husband and their son entered the wedding hall, which was festively decorated but otherwise deserted. Only the closest family was present, Kalina sobbed.

Kalina is visibly struggling to hold back her tears. "All the wasted food and drink. All the empty tables and chairs. Every moment of my wedding reception had to be changed.

Bride can't understand the behavior of her "friends"

Kalina can't understand her guests' behavior. "Why?" she asks herself. "What have we done to them? Am I such a bad person? What has my husband done to deserve all this? Are we not important enough for people to show up?"

Many of the so-called revelers didn't even bother to congratulate her, the disappointed bride reports, let alone say why they didn't show up. "It really makes me sick. I honestly still can't understand it," says the young woman. She is devastated.

Nevertheless, she has made the best of the botched wedding. "All that matters is that I have my husband. My baby. And a family that is there when I need them. And I will be eternally grateful for that," Kalina now knows for sure. She will probably think carefully about who she wants to be friends with in the future.

The video of the sad wedding has since gone viral on TikTok. The heartbreaking clip has already been viewed more than seven million times.

Sad: Wedding without guests

When guests don't show up at your own wedding, it often leaves those affected perplexed and disappointed. Another bridal couple from the USA had a very similar experience some time ago. Out of 88 wedding guests who had confirmed their attendance, not even 40 showed up.
