Three children found dead: Did the mother kill them?
Taninges - Grandparents from France made a disturbing discovery yesterday, Tuesday. They wondered why they had not seen their three grandchildren at lunchtime. A short time later they found their bodies - there was no trace of the mother.
The family home where the dead children were found is located in Taninges, as Le Dauphiné Libéré reports.
They are two boys aged 2 and 11 and a girl aged 13. Stab wounds were found on the bodies.
The 45-year-old mother was nowhere to be found, only a letter from her is said to have been there.
The tragic incident is believed to be a "family drama", but the police are still investigating the exact circumstances.
It was initially thought that the 45-year-old had made her way towards the mountains, as the border with Switzerland is only around 30 kilometers from the scene of the incident. A major search operation was launched for her.
Some sources have since reported that she was found dead in her car in Switzerland. So far, however, the public prosecutor's office responsible has declined to comment.
TAG24 does not normally report on possible suicides. However, as the incident is connected to a murder case, the editorial team has decided to make it a topic after all.
