Udine (Italy) - Five years ago, the Vecchiato family had to cope with the loss of a daughter. Now their second daughter has also died - in the same place as her sister!
What a terrible tragedy!
As the Daily Mail reports, Alexia was driving her Renault Clio in north-eastern Italy on November 7 when she apparently lost control and crashed into a house wall.
The car overturned - at the exact spot where her sister Gaia died in a fatal car accident years earlier.
The 22-year-old was immediately taken to hospital, but the doctors could do nothing more for her and declared her brain dead.
For the Vecchiato family, it is the second cruel blow in five years
In May 2019, Gaia was sitting in the passenger seat after an evening out with friends when the car left the road, crashed into a traffic sign and she died instantly.
At the time, the family could not have imagined that they would lose another daughter so tragically years later.
When it became clear that Alexia no longer had a chance, her parents decided to donate her organs to help others.
The local police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident to find out why the 22-year-old lost control of the vehicle.
