In an interview with BILD, the actor spoke openly about a stroke of fate that hit him during filming.

"I almost collapsed during the shoot," he said. "I was completely exhausted and thought it was a burn-out. I somehow managed to get through the days of filming, but a week later I ended up in hospital because I had lost a lot of weight."

The doctors' diagnosis was finally: "I have diabetes. That was a shock that lasted two weeks. That was 10 months ago now, and fortunately I've adjusted well to it."

However, he now has to pay close attention to his diet, taking into account insulin and carbohydrates.

Murathan Muslu also wants to act with diabetes

Despite his diagnosis, Muslu naturally wants to continue pursuing his passion as an actor and screenwriter.

Born in Vienna, he became known for his role as "Sascha" in the successful Netflix series"Achtsam Morden".

The film "Brick", which Muslu is shooting together with Matthias Schweighöfer, will be released in German cinemas next year.
