Musk (eleven children in total) and the 36-year-old had an on-off relationship from 2018 to 2021. Son X Æ A-XII was born in May 2020, followed by daughter Exa Dark Sideræl in December 2021. The birthday of their third child, Techno Mechanicus, is unknown.

After the separation, Musk is said to have denied his ex contact with their children. As a result, Grimes filed a petition in court in October 2023 to establish a parental relationship.

She now knows: "He is no longer the same. The man I fell in love with no longer exists."

According to the singer herself, shefought for custody of her childrenin a state that has "bad rights for mothers". Her Instagram posts and her modeling work were cited as reasons why she should not be granted custody.

The two have been embroiled in a custody battle since 2023. The 36-year-old recently spoke out about the challenges of being a mom and her ongoing disputes with ex-partner Elon Musk.

The musician ("My Name Is Dark"), whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, wrote on the X platform: "Babies tear you apart and put you back together again."

In the detailed statement, she recalled the formative times with her kids, X Æ A-Xii (4), Exa Dark Sideræl (3) and Techno Mechanicus (2).

However, Grimes also lamented the fact that she was not allowed to see one of the children for five months. And that was one of the few things she was allowed to say publicly.

The majority of her experiences over the past year will remain under lock and key.
