There they found a beautiful picture of two antelopes in the wild.

Hitchcock's husband was immediately hooked. After all, the artwork only cost three US dollars, the equivalent of 2.88 euros!

Without further ado, the couple took it home with them. And there the couple made a fascinating discovery: the painting had been signed. When Hitchcock searched for the artist online, her heart almost dropped.

She and her husband had got hold of a print of a work by the American Vivi Crandell. "She was so talented and had such a huge impact on animal welfare. She died of cancer in 2000," the young woman explained on Instagram.

There are only 670 prints worldwide of the very artwork that the Hitchcocks can now call their own, which normally sell individually for a hefty 795 US dollars (around 760 euros). What a find!

The two had unexpectedly got hold of print number 426 - for less than three euros!

Hitchcock enthusiastically shared her find on TikTok . And there she received several pieces of advice on how best to sell the artwork to make as much profit as possible.

The young woman had a clear answer: "We're not selling it on."

That is not the reason why she and her husband regularly visit various second-hand stores. Instead, they always buy things for themselves. This is also the case here.

From now on, the painting will decorate the couple's garage: "It's the perfect addition to [the room]," enthused Hitchcock enthusiastically. "It's so beautiful!"
