A royal blunder: William's "terrible" gift to Kate!

England - Finding a Christmas present for a princess is certainly no easy task - even Prince William (42) had his difficulties! In the early days of his relationship with his now wife Princess Kate (42), he gave her a "terrible" present.

The future British king was recently a guest on a podcast in which he talked to the presenter about presents.

As The Mirror has now reported, the 42-year-old admitted that he didn't necessarily give Kate the ideal gift once.

"I once gave my wife a pair of binoculars - she never forgave me for that. That was at the very beginning of our relationship, and I think that sealed the deal for good. It didn't go down well. To be honest, I have no idea why I bought her binoculars. It seemed like a good idea at the time," William said.

Although it is a traditionin the British royal family to give each other rather humorous and less expensive gifts, the future Queen still can't seem to get over the binoculars.
