Abandoned Husky-Labrador mix has a note with him: what it says makes the animal keepers sad
Phoenix (Arizona) - He sat there with a sad look on his face and drooping ears: caretakers in Phoenix, Arizona, found the husky-Labrador mix Armando right outside their animal shelter, the Arizona Humane Society. When they read the note his owners had given him, they were heartbroken.

It quickly became clear to everyone involved that Armando's family had not parted with him voluntarily - just a few days before Christmas. Instead, his now former owners struggled with themselves.
"We had to do this with a heavy heart. But unforeseen circumstances left us with no other choice," reads the handwritten letter.
It continues: "He has had his vaccinations, but may need them again soon. He is very friendly with dogs and people. He is prone to ear infections. We pray that he finds a good home. God bless him."
When the shelter staff took a closer look at the male dog and gave him a medical examination, one thing quickly became clear to them.
Animal shelter publishes Armando's story on Facebook

The four-legged friend had been loved, cared for and looked after by his former family - he wanted for nothing.
"Understandably, Armando was a little shy and confused when he was discovered. But with a little time and a lot of patience, he quickly thawed out at the shelter," said Kelsey Dickerson, AHS spokesperson, in an interview with The Dodo this week.
Although the shelter didn't publish a detailed Facebook post about the poor dog until Christmas Eve, a small Christmas miracle happened.
Armando was taken in during the holidays by a family who was even able to offer him a female dog to play with right away.
"He played with his new canine sister non-stop," Dickerson said, adding, "His new family said it was like he had always lived with them."
What a blessing in disguise !
