After holding his daughter captive for 24 years: Josef Fritzl wants a house with a cellar again!
Krems (Austria) - He held his own daughter captive as a slave in the cellar for 24 years - now Josef Fritzl (89) has very special ideas about what his house should look like after his release from prison.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Josef Fritzl, who became known as the"Monster of Amstetten" for his atrocious deeds, is demanding that the house he wants to move into after a possible release from prison must have a cellar.
The reason for his wish is allegedly the need to store his numerous personal documents and memorabilia there.
According to his lawyer, Dr. Astrid Wagner, these documents, which Fritzl considers to be very important, are already overcrowding the cell of the now 89-year-old.
Most recently, Fritzl held his daughter Elisabeth captive in a cellar dungeon for 24 years and repeatedly raped her, which led to her having seven children by him.
He is currently serving a life sentence for his offenses.
Josef Fritzl was transferred to a normal prison
However, his lawyer is arguing for his early release, arguing that Fritzl is suffering from advanced dementia and is therefore no longer in good health to remain in prison.
The father of horror was originally housed in a maximum security prison, but was transferred to a normal prison on parole in May 2024 after the court ruled that he no longer posed a danger.
However, if Fritzl violates the conditions of his parole, he could be sent back to a high-security prison.
