Attacked on university grounds: student has to go to hospital

London (England) - Four students at the University of Greenwich were attacked with an unknown liquid. One of them was hospitalized.

According to The Sun, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said that the police were called to the university campus in London on Tuesday night.

A report had been received that a man had been attacked and sprayed with an unknown substance.

The spokesman added: "Officers arrived at the scene with the London Ambulance Service. The ambulance service treated a man for a head injury at the scene before he was taken to hospital. During the investigation at the scene, officers discovered that three other people had been sprayed with a substance."

Investigations have now reportedly revealed that the substances were fortunately non-toxic and none of the victims had experienced a life-changing or life-threatening situation.

Perpetrators on the run

As The Sun also reports, no arrests have been made so far and the crime scene on the university campus is still being investigated. The perpetrator is also still at large.

The main entrance to the university is currently closed, according to a university spokesperson, but the rest of the campus is still freely accessible.
