Blind cat wants a cuddle: how she searches for her owner leaves no one indifferent

USA - As soon as Amber saw the little cat Stevie in an animal shelter, she knew immediately that this tabby belonged to her. Without further ado, she signed the adoption papers and took the little kitty home with her. And there Amber quickly realized that she had made the best decision of her life.

Since then, she and Stevie have been one heart and one soul. Nothing gets in their way - not even the cat's disability.

The animal was born without eyes and is therefore blind. This is by no means a problem for Amber.

Every day, she makes sure to say goodbye to the cat when she leaves the house and greet her when she returns. Simply to give the blind furry friend certainty as to when she can look for her owner and when not.

When Amber is home, Stevie doesn't miss the opportunity to ask for a cuddle or two. And even if she can estimate where her owner is roughly based on sounds and smells, she doesn't always manage to locate Amber exactly.

So she has had to train herself a very special technique. And it really melts her human friend's heart.

In a video posted by Amber on her TikTok channel, little Stevie can be seen sitting next to her owner's bed, on which the young woman is writing job applications.

"She's using every one of her working senses to find me," Amber describes the situation, as Stevie sticks her paw up in the air and begins to spread her toes. She feels for her owner again and again until she finally takes pity on her and strokes her gently.

Stevie then lets herself sink into the touch and snuggles close to her owner's hand.

"It's really hard to get things done when I can see this little thing flailing around in the air in the corner of my eye," jokes Amber under the clip.
