Bloody rampage at university: At least one dead and several injured
USA/Florida - Horrific scenes unfolded today, Thursday, at a university in the US state of Florida: A man opened fire and seriously injured at least six people.

The emergency response system at Florida State University in Tallahassee sounded the alarm and told all students to seek shelter.
As the New York Post reports, the shooter was first spotted on campus around noon.
At least six people were injured and hospitalized. Five of them are in serious condition and another person's life is in danger. NBC also reported the death of one victim.
The hospital stated that it was "actively receiving and caring for patients".
"The situation is still evolving and we are unable to share specific information at this time. However, we want to assure the public that our team is fully operational and providing the best possible care to those affected," the statement continued.
Police arrest suspect after rampage at US school

The police have since been able to arrest a suspect. The FBI was also on the scene and is investigating the shooter.
Videos are circulating on social media showing students running across streets and the campus in panic to escape the danger zone.
One eyewitness explained that he was in the library when the alarm went off. He and other students were taken out of the building by security with their hands up.
The university confirmed that all events will be canceled tomorrow, Friday. Various sporting events on campus have also been canceled up to and including Sunday.
The area around the university was secured at around 3.15 pm (local time), according to a police statement.
