Bride mourns deceased dog - what her friends do next goes very close

When Hailey Wilken Waxler and her loved ones recently planned a hen party for her best friend, she already knew that she would be thrilled.

But when the time finally came, the actual reaction of the bride-to-be got under the friends' skin more than they had expected.

After the girls had decorated a hotel room with balloons, underwear, confetti and cocktails, they decided on a little surprise.

In a video that Hailey has since shared on her TikTok account , she explains that Shadow, the fiancée's dog , had recently passed away. And so it was immediately clear to the bridesmaids: "Of course we had to honor her!"

They therefore placed a large, framed picture of the four-legged friend on the table, in which she is floating above the clouds with the help of Photoshop. It said in large letters: "Our original angel."

As soon as the young woman saw this tribute, tears began to flow.

"Oh God, this is all so beautiful and so much more than I could ever have dreamed of," she sobbed, before adding, "But Shadow..."

Shortly afterwards, she was hugged tightly by one of her friends.

Within a few days, the TikTok clip has already been viewed almost half a million times, with users in the comments agreeing that they would have shed at least as many tears at that moment.

Meanwhile, Hailey emphasized once again in the caption what Shadow really meant to her and her friends: "This dog raised us."

What a lovely idea to have the deceased furry friend with them on what was probably one of her owner's most important days.
