Bride-to-be wants to book a location: Answer from the operator totally blows her away

Richmond Victoria (Australia) - Yes, she does: Georgia Clay (28) from Richmond Victoria in Australia has been preparing for her wedding to her fiancé James Bate (32) for several weeks now. Of course, the perfect location is a must. But what Clay heard from an operator last month completely blew her away.

A winery in the Outer Metropolitan Area of Melbourne is what they want. "We weren't necessarily targeting this winery, but it was definitely high up there," explained the Australian in an interview with Newsweek this week.

However, the operator initially failed to provide an answer. "When I didn't get a reply, I thought maybe they were busy or my request didn't fit in with what they could do," said the 28-year-old.

The bride-to-be was soon to find out that she was not entirely wrong in this assessment.

"When I got the answer, I was sitting on the bus on the way to work and had to laugh out loud. It was so embarrassing! But I just thought: 'That's great!"

Fiancés are pondering

The reason for the joy: Clay had mistaken the "Polperro Winery" for "Polperro Dolphins Swims". Accordingly, the operator's curious response was: "We can take you swimming with dolphins, but we're not a wedding venue."

Or maybe there is something else?

Newsweek reached out to Justine, an employee of Polperro Dolphin Swims. She told the US magazine that they have had many marriage proposals on their boat, a couple of bachelor parties and even a wedding once.

Clay and her fiancé are no longer averse either. The couple are currently thinking about how they can get the wrong organizer on board after all.

"I think it would be super fun to post a few pictures of us there on our wedding website or our invitations," says Clay.

So it's quite possible that Polperro Dolphins Swims will play its part in the wedding after all.
