Brutal murder of four students: Cell phone data bring new details to light
Idaho (USA) - After more than two years since the quadruple murder in the US state of Idaho , explosive new details about the murder suspect (30) have come to light.

As NBC News reports, 30-year-old Bryan Kohberger is suspected of murdering Kaylee Goncalves (†21), Madison Mogen (†21), Xana Kernodle (†2020) and her overnight boyfriend Ethan Chapin (†2020) in November 2022. The trial against him is due to begin in August.
Investigators assume that Kohberger showed a conspicuous interest in the later victims months before the crime.
According to an analysis of his cell phone data, he was in the vicinity of the students' home a total of 23 times within four months.
After a pool party he had attended, he apparently searched for pornographic content on his cell phone using terms such as "drugged" and "sleeping".
Investigators also found photos of the party on his smartphone showing several female students in swimwear. Some of them were friends of the victims.
Kohberger faces the death penalty if convicted

On the night of the crime, a white Hyundai Elantra, believed to belong to Kohberger, was also captured by surveillance cameras near the crime scene. The movements of the vehicle match the suspected time frame of the crime.
After the night of the murder, Kohberger is said to have searched the internet for clips and documentaries about serial killers - including Ted Bundy.
He also apparently researched whether psychopaths can adapt socially.
If Kohberger is found guiltyin the US state of Idaho, he could face the death penalty.
