Cell phone hacking and private detectives: Prince Harry was spied on for years!

England/USA - The trial of Prince Harry (40) and the publisher of the British tabloid "The Sun" only began on Tuesday , but it was already over on Wednesday - with an unexpected twist!

Because the youngest son of King Charles (76) celebrated a surprising victory.

The publisher issued an apology for years of interference in the private life of the Duke of Sussex .

As People reported, the publisher confessed on Wednesday to illegally invading the prince's privacy both by hacking cell phones and with the help of private detectives.

This is the first time the publicist has admitted his wrongdoing in connection with The Sun newspaper. He also apologized for previous intrusions by journalists into the life of his mother, Princess Diana (†36).

"We acknowledge the distress caused to the Duke and apologize for the damage caused to his relationships, friendships and family and have agreed to pay him substantial damages," the publisher said.

People assumes that the "substantial compensation" could be an eight-figure sum, which will be paid to the prince.
