Cycling star confesses to killing his wife! He drove Melissa (†32) to death in the pick-up truck
Adelaide (Australia) - It was news that not only shook the cycling world on New Year's Eve 2023: Melissa Dennis (†32) was hit by a pick-up truck outside her home in Adelaide, Australia , and succumbed to her serious injuries a few hours later.

It soon emerged that her husband, Rohan Dennis (34), also a professional cyclist, had been at the wheel.
Her partner, with whom she has two children, was arrested but released on bail. The man has now confessed his guilt in the trial against him.
According to several media reports, Dennis has admitted to causing a situation in which someone could be harmed. In other words: he admits to deliberately killing his wife!
However, the admission of guilt does have a sour aftertaste. This is because other charges have been dropped in favor of the multiple Tour de France and Summer Olympics participant following a deal with the public prosecutor's office.
The ex-professional cyclist now faces seven years in prison and a five-year driving disqualification. However, the verdict has not yet been reached and is not expected until later.
It is still unclear why Rohan Dennis drove around his own wife Melissa

Rohan Dennis rode his last race in September 2023 and then ended his career. The day before New Year's Eve, the drama unfolded outside the family home.
Melissa (née Hoskins) fought for her life after being hit by a car at around 8pm, but died at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on New Year's Eve.
Dennis Rohan was a two-time world champion in the individual time trial on the road and won bronze in this discipline at the 2021 Olympics.
It is still unclear why the husband's fuses blew in such a way, as he remains silent about the crime to this day.
Melissa was given a public memorial service in Adelaide on February 24, 2024, her actual 33rd birthday, surrounded by her family and teammates.
The trial of her husband, who must now take responsibility for the death of his own wife, began on March 13.
