Deadly attack in national park: Elephant attacks tourist and crushes her skull
Thailand - A tragic fate befell a woman in a national park: an elephant attacked her - she stumbled as she fled and was trampled to death by the animal.

Jiranan Panyaprasertying (49) was exploring a national park in Thailand with a friend last Wednesday.
As The Sun reported, both were attacked and chased by a wild elephant .
Tragically, Panyaprasertying stumbled and only a short time later she was run over by the pachyderm, which crushed her skull in the process.
Park rangers found the 49-year-old a short time later and called in a helicopter to rescue her.

They also explained that it was the first time that tourists had been attacked on this route.
The park was closed as a result.
"The National Park Authority would like to express its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and asks all tourists to strictly follow the safety advice of officials while traveling," said a spokesperson for the park.
