According to several media reports, the 50-year-old apparently poured the chemical over several desserts at the buffet. According to them, she wanted to take revenge on her ex-employer after he had dismissed her.

The incident took place back in May 2023, but the authorities have only now gone public with it because a prison sentence is on the cards.

Fortunately, the woman was observed by attentive hotel guests who immediately reported her to the security staff. This may have saved lives.

At first she is said to have tried to escape, but fortunately she was caught. Although the vengeful woman denied the crime to the hotel managers, the police were of course informed.

Ex-employee of the hotel faces prison sentence

Both the bleach found and the poisoned food were then tested in the laboratory. The substance was finally detected beyond doubt in yoghurt and fruit.

The 50-year-old ex-employee has now been charged with endangering public health. If convicted, she could spend between two and six years behind bars. A relatively lenient sentence considering that she deliberately put the lives of numerous people at risk.

And it is said that this is not the first time the woman has done this: A few days earlier, she had already poured that very bleach into a milk bottle. Fortunately, the contents of this bottle were not consumed.

It is not known where the crime took place or in which hotel.
