As the New York Post reports, Kimberly Panetta (45) has sued Disney after a terrible incident in April 2022 and is now demanding compensation of two million US dollars (around 1.7 million euros).

The mother was in the children's area of the water park with her three-year-old daughter when they were suddenly caught by an unexpected wave.

The wave pulled them both several meters under water, but Kimberly was able to keep her daughter afloat just in time.

In the incident, the 45-year-old suffered severe abrasions and deep scratches to her legs as she slid several meters across the concrete floor. She is convinced that without her quick reaction, her daughter would have been seriously injured.

The vacation at Disney World has been completely ruined ever since

The incident not only traumatized her children, but also left permanent scars on her legs. Her dream vacation was ruined.

Kimberly accuses Disney of not allowing the strong waves into the children's area.

The company only offered the family 250 US dollars (around 219 euros) in compensation, which Kimberly felt was inappropriate.

The US American now hopes that her legal action will lead to greater safety at theme parks, not only for her but also for other families.
