Fatal crash with new Lamborghini: Entrepreneur drowns in ditch
Concordia Sagittaria (Italy) - It was supposed to be a fun drive in the best Easter weather. But for building contractor Luca P., the joyride in his brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo ended in an irrigation canal. The 51-year-old drowned.

Owning a Lamborghini was Luca's big dream. But the car turned into a death trap for the 51-year-old in northern Italy.
On Holy Saturday, the building contractor wanted to show the sports car to a friend, Luca P. got behind the wheel and the friend sat in the passenger seat, reports"Corriere del Veneto".
Luca stepped on the gas and sped down the country road. But the 51-year-old obviously overestimated his abilities. On a bend, he lost control of the car, left the road and overturned. The car ended up in an irrigation canal and filled up with water within minutes. The two men were unable to free themselves.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, the water was already 70 centimetres high, reports the newspaper "La Stampa". The building contractor drowned in his car and all help came too late for him. The passenger was freed from the Lamborghini wreckage by the fire department, taken to hospital by rescue helicopter and survived with serious injuries.
