Utah (USA) - A German tourist's hiking trip in Arches National Park in the US state of Utah ended fatally.

As FOX13 reports, the man was out and about in the park, which is known for its uneven surfaces, on Tuesday.

Near the Windows Loop Trail, the 77-year-old is said to have suddenly stumbled and fallen.

As a result, passers-by immediately called the emergency services and began resuscitating the man at the same time.

Despite extensive resuscitation efforts by the emergency services, all help came too late for the hiker and the man died at the scene of the accident .

It is still unclear exactly how the fatal accident occurred. The Grand County Sheriff's Office and the National Park Service have now begun an investigation.
