Father stabs daughter "while playing" with a kitchen knife
Darlington (UK) - A father has been found guilty of murdering his daughter (†14). Until the very end, he maintained that he had accidentally stabbed her while fooling around.

The Briton Simon Vickers was found guilty by a court yesterday, Monday. The Briton will find out his sentence in a few days' time.
His daughter Scarlett died on July 5, 2024. The terrible incident occurred while they were cooking dinner together.
According to Durham police , Vickers claimed that the two of them had been fooling around and throwing kitchen items at each other. He then accidentally swung a kitchen knife in such a way that he hit Scarlett, causing her a deep cut.
Despite prompt medical treatment, the daughter succumbed to her injuries.
Forensic investigations suggest murder
However, the forensic evidence clearly speaks against an accident. According to the BBC, a pathologist stated in court that it was practically impossible for a 10-centimeter-deep cut like Scarlett's to have been caused in a playful situation.
In her opinion, such a fatal injury could only be caused by a deliberately and firmly inserted blade. In addition, the convicted man had consumed both alcohol and cannabis during the course of the evening.
The exact circumstances surrounding the 14-year-old's gruesome death remain unclear, according to Durham Police.
