Fiancée stumbles upon wedding dress: when she sees the price, she's blindsided

Nashville (USA) - Actually, she just wanted to browse through a thrift store. But when Chiara Gallo came across this wedding dress in her hometown of Nashville (Tennessee) in December, she was completely taken aback.

The US-American wants to tie the knot in October 2025. Because it's still a while until then, she wasn't even looking for a wedding dress that day.

But when she held the item in her hands and saw the price, she could hardly believe it: the retailer only wanted 7.99 US dollars (7.70 euros) for it!

Under these circumstances, Gallo held the lucky find in front of her camera in the store to share it on TikTok. It soon became clear that the enthusiasm was spreading to an audience of millions.

The curious hit has received 4.5 million clicks and more than 400,000 likes since December 20.

Of course, many users wanted to know what Gallo looked like in the dress. That's why she followed up a day later with the resolution.

TikTok videos show the curious find

In her follow-up video, Gallo has to support the more-than-affordable dress with her hands on her breasts. The fitting at the tailor is likely to be more expensive than the actual dress.

In the clip, the dress is skin-tight on the fiancée's body. It is striking that Gallo supports her breasts with her hands throughout the video. Apparently her bargain can't withstand the weight.

"It fit perfectly on the bottom half, but not so much on the chest. It was a little tight, but with a few creative adjustments and some good tailoring, we'll get it right," the bride-to-be explained in an interview with Newsweek this week.

Apart from that, she could hardly stop gushing to the US magazine: "I couldn't believe that such a beautiful piece was just lying there waiting for me. I immediately imagined how I would wear it at the ceremony and I knew it would give me a special touch on the day."

Incidentally, Gallo estimates the actual value of the Banjul dress at between 130 and 300 US dollars. She is all the more delighted with her lucky find.
