Fitness model (26) completely disfigured after botched beauty procedure: Fake doctor laughs at her too

Los Angeles (USA) - Beatrix Amma (26) wanted to take off as a fitness model, but a botched beauty procedure turned her life completely upside down. Her skin was infected by a dangerous hospital germ. The young woman almost died.

It was supposed to be a harmless treatment at her trusted beauty clinic. But for Beatriz from Miami, it turned into a nightmare.

The vitamin B12 injection, which the aspiring fitness model hoped would give her radiant skin, was contaminated with multi-resistant mycobacteria.

"Within 24 hours, I had extreme chills, a fever and this intense brain fog," Beatriz told the renownedDaily Star newspaper. Then the first pustules formed on her skin and spread rapidly. The young woman became very ill, had a rash all over her body and was taken to the emergency room.

What followed was a nightmare that lasted three years. After months in hospital, a course of intravenous antibiotics and countless visits to the dermatologist, the now 26-year-old is now looking to the future with confidence.

But Beatriz knows that she will probably hope in vain for compensation for the botched procedure.

What Beatriz didn't know was that the supposed beauty specialists were neither doctors nor insured.

"Everything looked so real," says Bea. "They had a nice interior, clean rooms and certificates on the wall (which I later found out were fake). They sent me a direct message on WhatsApp. It seemed like a win-win situation. I could film the process for my followers, get coverage and feel better about myself at the same time."

But when Beatriz contacted the charlatans after she fell ill, she was in for a nasty surprise. "They laughed at me, called me a 'pest' and said: 'Good luck suing me. It's just an allergic reaction, not our fault'."

Beatriz had a dermatologist's report drawn up, consulted a lawyer and was once again disappointed: the horror clinic didn't even have insurance. "There was no money to claim back," she complains.

Beatriz's treatment costs were staggering. Her debts add up to millions of dollars in medical bills. This is far above what her insurance covers, the US-American reveals to the Daily Star.

"I get reminders and bills every week," she says. "I only pay the bare minimum to avoid the collection process. That's all I can do," she added.

She has since gone back to work, built up a loyal follower base on TikTok, for which she is very grateful, and is also on OnlyFans.

Nevertheless, Beatriz still hopes for justice and wants to tell her story.

"What happened to me shouldn't happen to anyone."
