From dream vacation to nightmare: mother and daughter in hospital after cocktails!
Fiji - It was supposed to be an unforgettable mother-daughter trip - but after a few cocktails, the stay took a dramatic turn.

As Daily Mail reports, 19-year-old Georgia Sandoe-Simpson and her 46-year-old mother Tanya Sandoe were flown home because they suspected they had methanol poisoning.
The pair had been hospitalized after collapsing at the Warwick Fiji Resort pool after drinking cocktails. Fortunately, they received help quickly and were able to leave the hospital a short time later.
After hearing from other hotel guests who were also struggling with symptoms of intoxication such as foaming at the mouth, cramps and blood coming from their ears, they decided to cut their vacation short.
The police are now investigating the cause of the poisoning.
Australia has revised its travel advice for Fiji and warns travelers

Australian tourists are now being urged to be aware that their drinks could be laced with drugs wherever they stay.
This warning follows tragic incidents in Fiji and Laos, where several travelers became seriously ill and even died.
The events had once again highlighted the risks of drinks laced with dangerous substances.
As a result, increased warnings for travelers were introduced, especially for popular tourist destinations, to prevent such incidents in the future.

The tragic mass poisoning at a backpacker hostel in Laos left a total of six people dead, while others were treated in hospital for their critical condition.
Among the victims are four young women Holly Bowles (†19) and Bianca Jones (†19) from Australia, Anne-Sofie Orkild Coyman (†2020) and Freja Vennervald Sørensen (†21) from Denmark, Briton Simone White (†28) and American (†57) James Louis Hutson.
