Golden retriever begs persistently: his goal melts hearts

Melbourne (Australia) - What a dog's eyes! Golden retriever Mustard from Melbourne knows exactly which card to play if he wants to achieve his goal. It's not about food in this case, by the way.

The furry friend has something completely different in mind, as a TikTok video from last month reveals. In the now viral hit, Mustard lays his head on the sofa and begs his owner with his eyes.

He then changes sides and half climbs onto the sofa. There he again gives his owner a dog's eye de luxe. Finally, the woman takes heart and opens a seemingly tiny grille.

Mustard immediately runs joyfully into the fenced-off area. There lies baby Mackenzie. The little one immediately gets a few "kisses" from the golden retriever, who is now overjoyed.

Naturally, the TikTok audience's hearts melt at the sight. 1.5 million clicks have been accumulated so far, plus more than 125,000 likes.

But why does the male dog even let this tiny fence stop him?

In a comment, the mother, who also has golden retriever Honey in her family alongside Mustard, reveals: "They're really scared of the fence, it's really funny."

So the dogs make sure they give the fence a wide berth as long as their owner doesn't open it for them. Nevertheless, there is another thing that worries the Australian a little: "I can't believe he's climbing onto the sofa. He's so heavy I can't even stop him."

But of course Mustard is so well behaved that he won't go a step further. This is because their owner has taught the two golden retrievers from the very beginning that they have to respect the boundaries with the baby.

She speaks enthusiastically about the two four-legged friends: "They are the best dogs."
