Grandparents fail at the crib program: But baby's look makes everyone laugh
Toronto (Canada) - What do you do when you have a four-month-old baby and still want to party on New Year's Eve? That's right: get the parents involved. That's exactly what Tina Yazdani from Toronto did when she wanted to celebrate on the last day of the year. Unfortunately, the party wasn't over when she and her boyfriend got home. Because her four-month-old son was wide awake.
Yazdani's plight can be seen in a viral TikTok video. Exhausted and tired, the mother of two sits with her four-month-old baby on her lap, talking to her parents on the phone.
While the stressed mother irritably questions her bundle of joy's grandma and grandpa, the camera zooms in on the little boy. He suddenly starts to grin broadly - true to the motto: Party on!
The cute cheeky boy is very popular with the TikTok audience. In addition to three million clicks, users also gave him more than 280,000 likes. Only the parents had little to laugh about at the end of New Year's Eve.
In an interview with Newsweek this week, Yazdani, who is a journalist herself, spoke plainly.

"We've all been there: grandparents who don't stick to nap and bedtime routines and leave us with overtired babies and toddlers," the Canadian told the US magazine.
Nevertheless, she is extremely grateful to her parents. "It makes a huge difference to us that we can still see friends and have dates and get those much-needed breaks. I know not everyone has that kind of support."
Admittedly, the stressed-out mother, who also has a four-year-old son, had absolutely nothing to laugh about at that moment. But at least she was able to have a good laugh when she saw the curious video later.
"I didn't expect the clip to be so popular. But it definitely struck a chord with exhausted parents who live on a sleep schedule," she said.
