That was quick: it took Nguyen's new clip just one day to reach an audience of millions on TikTok . In addition to the hairdresser's embarrassing blunder, the reason for this is probably also his craftsmanship.

Because even if the American, who has his salon in Richmond, Virginia, initially estimates his guest to be a proud 53 years old, he can also make up for it.

In the curious clip, Nguyen is not quite on the ball at first. While his customer tells him his age, the hairdresser clearly isn't listening properly.

After a while, he comes back to it: "So you're 53." His guest is momentarily satisfied.

"33," the young man finally replies curtly, causing Nguyen's jaw to drop. He is visibly embarrassed that he has misjudged his age by a good 20 years. His guest even rounds up. Because he had previously explained that he would only be 33 next month.

But with his easy-going manner, the hairdresser can quickly smooth things over. And he has to - after all, his customer has driven an extra four hours from North Carolina to Richmond.

After all, there is a hard cut. Now, at the latest, the 32-year-old looks his age. Nguyen has trimmed his beard and cut his hair quite a bit shorter.

While his customer had previously gelled his hair back, it is now styled towards his forehead. That's exactly what he wanted.

When he looks in the mirror, his enthusiasm is correspondingly high. Thai Nguyen is also delighted, and thanks to the great result, he is able to pull himself out of the affair once again.
