Harry and Meghan lend a hand: Helping the victims of the Los Angeles fires!

Los Angeles/USA - Devastating fires have been raging in the US city of Los Angeles for several days, leaving numerous families homeless. For this reason, Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43) have decided to support those affected.

The couple, who live around 145 kilometers north of the metropolis, visited the aid organization "World Central Kitchen" yesterday (Friday) to distribute food and supplies to the victims of the fires.

According to People , the royals also made personal contact with families who were badly affected by the fires and donated urgently needed relief supplies.

Thanks to their joint Archewell Foundation, the couple were also able to make a financial donation.

They also plan to actively support the reconstruction efforts in the affected areas during future visits.

Harry and Meghan help the victims of the forest fires

Harry and Meghan also worked with Airbnb and another relief organization to provide emergency shelter and other supplies for the evacuees as quickly as possible.

"They are great people, great personalities and they have a big heart for coming here and meeting the first responders and those affected," said Victor Gordo, Mayor of Pasadena, where the wildfires also raged.

The couple also opened the doors of their own home and welcomed friends and family who had to be evacuated from their homes due to the fires.
