"I was nervous" - Prince William recalls special moment with Diana and Harry

England - Prince William (42) has long held back from making public statements about Prince Harry (40) due to the ongoing family dispute - now he is speaking out about him again for the first time in a TV documentary.

However, in the two-part documentary "Prince William: We can end homelessness", the heir to the throne recalled a special moment from his childhood.

As Page Six reports, the 42-year-old said that his interest in charity work began when his mother, Princess Diana (†36), took him and Harry to The Passage - a British charity that supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

"My mother took me to The Passage. She took Harry and me. I was about 10 or 11 years old at the time. (...) I'd never been to anything like that before and I was a bit nervous about what to expect," said the father of three.

He further recalled: "My mother did the usual, she made everyone feel relaxed, laughed and joked with everyone. I thought at the time: 'Well, if everyone doesn't have a home, I'm sure they'll be very sad'. But it was incredible what a happy atmosphere there was."

He added that he thinks of good conversations and chess games, realizing that there are many people with very different circumstances.

The documentary is believed to be the first time William has spoken publicly, albeit briefly, about his brother amid the ongoing family disputes.

Whether William talks about further experiences with Harry can be seen on British television on October 30 and 31.

It is not yet clear when the documentary will be released in Germany.
