The 73-year-old had suffered a heart attack, reported the television station CNN Brasil, citing forensic experts.
However, it is still unclear whether this was the actual cause of death.
Investigations are still underway to clarify the exact circumstances of his sudden death.
The man was a cattle dealer in the state of Mato Grosso and is survived by four children.
He won 201 million reais (around 31 million euros) in the lottery draw on November 9.
According to a report by the news portal "G1", this was one of the ten highest winnings in the history of the lottery.
