Bradley from the US state of Connecticut earned around 19,000 euros in December alone. He only spent just under 1,200 euros of this in the same month. Last year, he saved just under 84,000 euros.

His biggest expense is rent. He pays around 720 euros for his small apartment. On top of that, he spends 177 euros on food.

He unplugs all his appliances when he leaves the house and eats the same food every day (sweet potatoes with chicken and barbecue sauce). He also never turns on the heating. The light only on rare occasions.

The reason for his frugal lifestyle was 125,000 euros in student debt when he was young. Due to the monthly installment he had to pay back, he decided to make colossal savings, as he tells"Metro".

He gave up new clothes and unnecessary expenses, and also adjusted his lifestyle. And this is exactly what he has not changed, even though he now earns very good money from several jobs.

He keeps his monthly fixed costs low. He only pays for his car, gas, internet, hairdresser and gym. He says he spends around 28 euros on "fun", a category he describes as "self-control".

When the 32-year-old, who has been single for several years, goes out with friends, he chooses the cheapest thing on the menu in advance (usually a starter). He often goes without drinks, sometimes drinking water or a non-alcoholic cocktail.

On TikTok, he provides insights into his life, which is often met with astonishment. Some users can't understand why the American only has two towels or one plate. He has also had no health insurance for several years.

When he does spend money, it is to make others happy - he paid for his sister's wedding dress - or to travel.

"If I ever spend money, it better be on something memorable and an experience. And not on a stupid car or just clothes in the wardrobe that you barely touch."

He doesn't actually have a goal that he is saving for. A house is out of the question for him due to his minimalist nature.

The most important message he would like to pass on to people with financial problems: "Don't let another day go by."
