Metal ring from outer space crashes into small village: What is it?
Mukuku Village - In the middle of a small village in Kenya, a metallic object from outer space hit the ground at the beginning of the week.

On Monday afternoon at around 3 pm, a ring weighing around 500 kilograms fell from the sky over the village of Mukuku Village in Makueni County, the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) announced on Wednesday.
According to the KSA, the object is space debris. Initial findings indicate that it is part of a rocket separation system that may have been used to launch a satellite into space.
After the separation between satellite and carrier rocket, such separation rings normally burn up in the atmosphere or fall to the ground over no man's land. Why the ring crashed into the middle of the village in this case is now the subject of further investigations.
Apparently no people were injured. There are no reports of injured villagers. Pictures of the crash site show how the separation ring probably landed in a bush.
The residents reported the incident and on Tuesday the responsible employees of the Kenyan Space Agency arrived on site to recover the debris. They are now investigating which rocket the ring came from.
Incidentally, the KSA denied that this could be part of an alien spaceship under its post on X. One user commented: "Are you sure it's not aliens?" The dry answer from the government agency: "Absolutely positive."
