Next Pikachu smash at the World Darts Championship! Pietreczko is the last German to reach the last 16
London (Great Britain) - The next big surprise is perfect, the Pikachu spectacle continues! Ricardo Pietreczko (30) is through to the last 16 of the World Darts Championship.

This Friday afternoon, the 30-year-old clearly defeated last year's semi-finalist Scott Williams (34) 4:1, making him the only remaining German to progress to the last 16.
Only Gabriel Clemens (41) had managed this before, but the event - like for compatriot Martin Schindler (28) - was by no means crowned with success this year. Both players were eliminated early on and failed to impress.
This was not the case for Pietreczko, who had already assured his English opponent in the run-up to the third round match that he would not get involved in Williams' "little games": "I want to concentrate on myself and then it can only be good," said Pikachu in an interview with Sport1 - and that's exactly what happened.
Pietreczko was highly motivated right from the start and won the first two sets. Williams, who had previously knocked former champion Rob Cross (34) out of the tournament, managed to close the gap to 2:1 in the meantime - but Pietreczko went one better and also took the last two sets with a strong performance to make the final score 4:1.
Ricardo Pietreczko threatens a cracker of a duel with darts prodigy Luke Littler
By advancing to the next knockout round, Pietreczko will not only climb further up the world rankings - he can also look forward to a cash prize of 35,000 pounds (the equivalent of around 42,000 euros).
Pietreczko will continue next Monday with the winner of the duel between Nathan Aspinall and Andrew Gilding.
Top favorite Luke Littler could be waiting in the quarter-finals. But before that, the darts prodigy will have to play compatriot Ian White in the late session.
