Due to the confusing situation in Syria, a "decision freeze" has been imposed, according to the media report on request, as it is not yet clear how the political situation in the country will develop in the future.

This is said to affect more than 47,000 asylum applications from Syrians that have not yet been decided.

However, existing asylum decisions are not affected by this.
