On the run for over twelve years: Groom allegedly killed woman after wedding
Monterrey (Mexico) - On the run after more than twelve years: The FBI was able to capture one of the most wanted criminals in Mexico, who allegedly killed his wife after their own wedding celebration in the US state of Illinois.

As reported by the Daily Mail, 42-year-old Arnoldo Jimenez is accused of stabbing his wife Estrella Carrera 18 times in May 2012.
When the 26-year-old did not contact her family the next day, her relatives raised the alarm and called the police.
Shortly afterwards, officers found Estrella's body in the apartment the couple shared - brutally murdered and covered in numerous stab wounds.
She was still wearing the glittering cocktail dress from the party.

Arnoldo Jimenez went into hiding after the crime and was considered one of the FBI's most wanted criminals for years.
A reward of over 100,000 US dollars (around 92,000 euros) was offered for his arrest.
He was finally caught on January 31, 2025. The motive for his crime remains completely unclear.
He will soon be extradited to the USA, where he will stand trial for murder .
