As People reports, Yersson Solarte (33) was arrested on Wednesday after officers received reports of "indecent relations" between the clergyman and two children.

According to the report, Solarte allegedly "indecently touched" and sexually abused the minors. The ages of the two are not public in order to protect the adolescents' privacy.

One of the girls had reported just a few days earlier that the 33-year-old had instructed her to sit on his lap before he abused her, writes Miami Herald. Sadly, just the latest of many incidents between Solarte and the child.

His second victim claimed the man confessed his love for her, forced her to kiss him and opened his pants in her presence. He also allegedly assured her that the two were lovers.

The minor told the officers that the pastor is said to have explained his motives for his actions to her as follows: "We only live once."

Police cannot rule out further victims of Solarte

As the police cannot currently rule out the possibility that there are more victims of Solarte, officers are desperately looking for more witnesses.

"People like him belong to a special class of criminals who take advantage of their position of trust to prey on innocent victims," Police Chief Cecil Smith has since said in a statement.

"Solarte is now behind bars where he belongs. We pray that there are no more people victimized by this man."

The 33-year-old has since been released from his position as a pastor and is now in custody in a Florida prison.
