Plane has to make an emergency landing on a small island: The reason is really piggish!

Hamilton (Bermuda) - Anyone who has ever been in an animal barn knows the unpleasant smell that hits your nose when you enter. But this stench was clearly too much for the passengers on a vacation flight.

According to a report in the Dutch newspaper"De Telegraaf ", a Boeing-787 Dreamliner was on its way from Amsterdam to Mexico City last Friday.

In addition to the 259 human passengers, 100 pigs also checked into the plane's cargo hold.

In the middle of the Atlantic, the airport tower of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda then received an extremely unusual radio message from the captain of the vacation plane.

The plane had been forced to make an unscheduled landing because the four-legged passengers in the cargo hold were so smelly that the guests and crew in the cabin were getting sick.

Flight KL685 was originally scheduled to fly from Amsterdam to the Mexican capital without a stopover, but the 100 pigs in the cargo hold forced the plane to land in Hamilton.

After landing, the passengers were guided through immigration control and the pigs were unloaded from the cargo hold. The passengers were then accommodated in nearby hotels for the night.

After "shock ventilation" of the cabin, the journey could finally continue without a few pigs spreading their unpleasant odor in the cabin.

The four-legged friends had to stay on the island for another day until they were finally taken to Mexico on a cargo plane.
