Presumed abducted! Two children (10, 7) disappeared in the Netherlands

Groningen - The Dutch police are searching for two missing children in the north of the country in the border region with Germany .

The police have not ruled out the possibility that the children's father abducted them and have published a photo of the 67-year-old man.

The police in Groningen announced that they were working closely with the German police in the search. The possibility that the man had traveled to Germany with the children could not be ruled out.

The search was launched on Sunday afternoon and continued during the night. An "Amber Alert" was issued, which is a digital call from the police to the public about missing children.

There is great concern for the safety of the children.

The police also published photos of the childrenon their website.

According to police, 10-year-old Jeffrey and his eight-year-old sister Emma have been missing since Saturday. The children live near the village of Beerta, close to the border with Lower Saxony.
