Yesterday, Friday, the royal family arrived at Westminster Abbey. But before they entered the church, they stopped at the famous "Kindness Tree".

As the New York Post reported, small notes with messages were hung on this tree to honor someone who has supported you in life.

The sweetest message of the evening clearly came from Prince Louis (6)! To honor his grandparents, he wrote on his note: "Thank you for Grandma and Grandpa for playing games with me."

The future Queen herself also wrote a letter to the approximately 1600 visitors: "This Christmas service is a heartfelt celebration for each and every one of you and a reminder that we must shine for each other at Christmas and throughout the year. For in times of joy and sadness, we are all the light for each other," said Kate.

They also shared a few snaps of the successful evening on social media.

"A wonderful time spent with friends, family and those who make a real difference to those around them," the Princess and Prince of Wales wrote on Instagram.

This was one of Kate's first few appearances after announcing she was cancer-free in September this year.

The 42-year-old is now gradually returning to her activities as a working royal.
